Day 1 – Arrival in Kigali & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

 Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport on May 26, after immigration formalities, our safari driver-guide will warmly welcome you and provide a short briefing before transferring you to Hemingway Retreat for rest.

Later 11:00 am check out from Hemingway Retreat and drive to Musanze, Volcanoes National Park area, where you will check in at Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel. Enjoy a relaxed afternoon and overnight at the lodge.

Day2: Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Village Visit

Have an early breakfast and then get briefed by the park officials about the rules of visiting the park. After, enter the jungle to search for the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy exploring their homes. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit in close proximity and visit with these great apes for a whole hour. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as hiking shoes, packed food and water, insect repellent, sunscreen, and a hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or a whole day, depending on the movement of these primates. After this gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda, you will have an incredibly memorable experience for life that is followed by lunch at the lodge, later head to visit the Iby’iwacu cultural village to enjoy their different performances and also explore more about their unique culture.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking, Dinner & Transfer to Kigali for Departure

 After breakfast, proceed to Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey trekking, where you will enjoy observing these playful primates in their natural habitat.

Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel before departing Musanze and transferring to Kigali International Airport for your early morning flight on May 29, marking the end of your unforgettable Rwanda Gorilla Safari.
